Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican musician who was born into a musical family. The music she grew up with was traditional, old boleros as well as traditional romantic, ranchero, and romance ballads. Ana likes tangos as much as opera, and various other dramatic forms. Ana began learning to sing as well as play musical instruments at an early age by her mother. The formal vocal instruction when she reached the age of 16 old and studied with the world-renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. In the School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico continued her music education. In Guadalajara and Mexico City, she was a member of many opera groups and chamber choirs. In the years following her relocation in The United States in 2000, she joined the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before making the move to her current home in the southern part of California. The group she is in currently part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and frequently performs solo in classical Latin American music at private events. She is involved with many local projects, both as an instructor and performer because she is passionate about the arts and music. Ana has also been a former member of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana is thankful for having the chance to share her passion and passion of traditional Latin American songs with others and, in the process hopes to inspire a passion, especially among younger generations for keeping this vibrant music alive.Viva Mexico!
